According to two separate and equally informed insiders, we now know that Jeremy Irons is in The Flash as Alfred. It was always known that Ben Affleck would appear one last time as Batfleck for this movie. However there had been no confirmation that Irons was also back as his trusted friend, employee and father figure Alfred.
ViewerAnon posted on social media, almost in a ‘shoot, not sure if this has been mentioned before but, yeah, Irons is back’ kinda post. This was then backed by BSL who said they had heard Irons had shot scenes for the film. Check it out.
Heard he filmed something for the movie ages ago but it's nice to see that he made the cut recently screened. https://t.co/VAjS6d5DUp

I don’t see this is major news, but I think that’s simply because fans assumed Irons would return. Really there was no guarantee though just because Batfleck is in this movie. It’s therefore good to know that Irons is getting at least one more run out as Alfred before retiring this Pennyworth for good. At least we assume Irons will be gone? Considering Alfred’s Bruce will end up in a different Universe and Michael Keaton is to become the Batman of the interconnected DCEU, so it sure seems unlikely. However, until we see the events explained in the movie, no one is quite sure how all this happens?

Personally, I’m up for Jeremy Irons replacing Ezra Miller as an Alt version of Flash/ Barry Allen. Him and Bat Keaton would be great together, and Flash’s powers don’t really require a young fit actor. Okay, maybe now I’m getting into some crazy territory, so I’ll just shut up.
What do you think of the news Jeremy Irons is in The Flash as Alfred. Would you want them to find a way to keep Irons around or should this be his last project as Alfred in the DCEU? Thoughts below as always.
