Julius Ševčík directs a talented, International cast in The Affair.
Vertical Entertainment brings The Affair based on Simon Mawer’s International best-seller novel, The Glass Room. A story that takes place in the 1930s as best friends prohibited romance goes through a roller coaster of hardship doing World War II.
The Synopsis
In 1930s Czechoslovakia, newlyweds Viktor (Claes Bang, “The Square”) and Liesel Landauer (Hanna Alström, “Kingsman: The Secret Service”) are filled with optimism and happiness in their new home. But all too soon, extramarital temptations bring out their darkest secrets and desires. As Liesel turns to her sensual friend Hana (Carice van Houten, “Game Of Thrones”) for the passion she lacks in her marriage, Nazi troops enter the country, threatening the Landauer’s lives and the burning desire between the two women.
Julius Ševčík is a writer, director and cinematographer from Czech Republic. He is known for other films like Normal the Düsseldorf Ripper and Masaryk/A Prominent Patient. Ševčík has received several awards and nominations for Masaryk.

I had the opportunity to connect with the director, Julius Ševčíkto to talk about The Affair. He spoke about the experience in filming in the Villa Tugendhat, a little bit of the Villa’s history, beautiful architecture and turning it into a character. In addition to working with a phenomenal cast.
