Justice League: Zack Snyder Confirms That Deleted Scene Is More Than Just Easter Egg

If there’s one scene that got talked about most following the release of last fall’s Justice League, it was probably the black Superman suit scene. Of course, there irony here is that the scene never even made the theatrical cut. It was left on the cutting room floor, despite all the coverage it had in the trades.

But the scene was later on revealed via its digital release, and finally, the Easter egg to the comics fans have been waiting for was confirmed…but is there more to that scene than it being a simple Easter egg? One fan on Twitter thought so, and even reached out to director Zack Snyder for confirmation…which Snyder gave.

This interaction makes me all the more hungry for the Zack Snyder cut — a cut that by no means exists in any economically feasibly salvageable way. I’ve always been a fan for the way Snyder set up Superman’s arc in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, and its overall impact seems to have been muted in Justice League in favor of a lighter tone and shorter runtime, which is a shame.
