Justice League‘s Cyborg, Ray Fisher, has always made his feelings towards Joss Whedon known. After Whedon took over for Zack Snyder, fans got a clunky mash-up of styles resulting in a sub-par film. Since the release, Fisher has spoken out against Whedon’s time on the set. From claiming unprofessional behavior to digitally altering Fisher’s skin tone, Whedon has not been presented in a positive light. Recently, Ray Fisher speaks out again with more claims against Whedon creating a hostile work environment.
Even though Warner Bros. ended their investigation into Whedon’s behavior, the cast has not forgotten. It does appear as if the company is distancing themselves from his services though. In addition, many actors from Justice League continue to share the tumultuous atmosphere Whedon created. In a recent Deck the hall of Justice video, Ray Fisher speaks on how he feels Whedon brought resentment to the set. He then suggests that it is stemming from his frustrations regarding Avengers: Age of Ultron. Fisher suggests that these emotions had an impact in his demeanor and decision-making during reshoots.
“Joss brought a lot of his personal and professional, for lack of a better term, resentment, into the Justice League process. One of the things that he had said in our first conversation was that people didn’t quote-unquote ‘get’ ‘Age of Ultron‘, and there were certain things being said in that conversation.”
“I was like, ‘Oh, this is less about the work being presented and more, sort of like, of an ego stroke to say ‘Well look, if you like it in this movie, you should’ve liked it in that one. Joke’s on you.’ And that’s just creatively, that has nothing to do with any of the really egregious stuff, that’s just on a creative level.”

Fisher concludes with:
“That’s part of the reason why I say that we inherited Joss Whedon. We inherited the problem of Joss Whedon. I’m sure he has a lot to deal with. Hopefully he deals with it in a healthy way, and we’ll make good on any sort of apologies that he may need to put out there.”
So it is known that Whedon has issues with Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios. It is also clearly known that the many Justice League actors hold tension towards him as well as the WB moving away from his services. As Ray Fisher speaks out again, who/what seems to be the common denominator?
Yes, we have to understand that these are accusations. But Ray Fisher speaks out against Joss Whedon, yet again. What could this hold for Whedon’s future? Did the bitterness of Avengers: Age of Ultron sour his creative pride and he wanted to push it no matter what? What do you think of Fisher’s most recent statements?
