The showrunner, Eric Kripke brings us another wacky season of The Boys. A season where Butcher, played by Karl Urban, finds himself going against his principles.
The Synopsis
It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s (Antony Starr, “Outrageous Fortune”) subdued. Butcher (Karl Urban, “Star Trek”) works for the government, supervised by Hughie (Jack Quaid, “The Hunger Games”) of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles, “Supernatural”).
The New Zealand native, Karl Urban’s parents expected him to follow his father’s footsteps and work in leather goods manufacturing. However, the actor had another plan in mind. His first television appearance was at the age of eight and made a return to the stage in high school. Urban’s biggest roles have come fromThe Lord of the RIngs trilogy and Star Trek playing Dr.Leonard “Bones” McCoy. Soon Urban will be heard voicing Bob in ARK: The Animated Series.

Eric Kripke’s resume is absolutely amazing and full of success. He is responsible for shows like Revolution, Timeless, and the CW hit Supernatural. It was only natural when Kripke announced that he would be developing the comic book The Boys series that Prime Video came in to take up the deal. The first and second season of The Boys have met with amazing reviews and success.
I spoke to Karl Urban and Eric Kripke earlier this week to talk about the third season of The Boys. Kripke discussed the show’s fascination with the inside anatomy. While Urban spoke about the moral dilemma Butcher faces for this season.
