LaMonica Garrett and Sam Elliott play a phenomenal duo in the new 1883 series. Garrett joins the cast giving a representation of what it’s like to wear the buffalo soldier uniform.
The Synopsis
1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land – Montana.
The Californian actor, LaMonica Garrett was named after the Oakland Raiders football player Daryle LaMonica. With that said, a known name was destined for the actor. However, before the acting career came he lived an athletic life between football and slamball. Thanks to his athletic abilities he was seen on the One Tree Hill series. Plus other television shows like Suits, FX’s hit show Sons of Anarchy, Netflix’s Designated Survivor, The Last Ship and Arrow. There have also been projects on the big screen like Primal and Clemency. Next year he will be seen in The Terminal List from Prime Video.
