The Synopsis
The critically acclaimed film tells the story of two strangers destined to intervene in each other’s lives after a misdial fates them together forever. Beth (Sarah Booth, “The Scarehouse”) is a late-night janitor who accidentally answers a call from Scott (Daved Wilkins, “The Mindy Project”) who believes he has dialed a suicide prevention hotline. LAST CALL presents both ends of a harrowing phone call that has Beth navigating a life-changing conversation as she attempts to aide Scott within her limited means.
Daved Wilkins is a writer, producer and actor. He was seen nationwide in 2014 as the protagonist of the Award Winning Doritos Super Bowl commercial, Time Machine. Wilkins has been seen in films like Love Addict and Laid in America. Plus, several television series appearances like Bad Weather and The Mindy Project. Soon he will be seen in Petits Pieds.

Gavin Michael Booth is a writer, producer and director. Booth has been involved in films like A Most Useless Place, Fifteen and Just 20 among several other films. He has also directed music videos. Last year he directed the television mini-series You knew It Was Me and Rent Do was released this past Valentine’s Day.
I connected with Gavin Michael Booth and Daved Wilkins via Zoom to talk about Last Call. They both shared how the film came together as co-writers. Booth shared his experience filming a split screen film along with its challenges. Wilkins spoke about understanding of his character attempting suicide and moments that were emotionally draining.
