Lesley Manville is part of the cast of, Let Him Go, a film adaptation of the novel written by Larry Watson. She plays a strong character that leaves her trace in every scene.

Synopsis :

Following the loss of their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Kevin Costner) and his wife Margaret (Diane Lane) leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson from the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, headed by matriarch Blanche Weboy (Lesley Manville). When they discover the Weboys have no intention of letting the child go, George and Margaret are left with no choice but to fight for their family.

Lesley Manville has been a gem since a little girl. As a soprano singer in her hometown of Sussex she won two under-18 champion titles. She left the falsetto behind as a teenager to focus on theater. She eventually left the stage to pursue a television and film career. Today she is a multi-award winning actress of theater, film, and television. Manville recently received an Academy Award and BAFTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Cyril in the film Phantom Thread. Earlier this year she starred in a film alongside Liam Neesan (Kinsey, Schindler’s List, Taken) for the heartbreaking true story, Ordinary Love. Later this month she will be seen in the anticipated fifth season of the popular Netflix series, The Crown playing Princess Magaret.

I had the opportunity to speak to the lovely Lesley Manville via Zoom last month. She shared a little bit about her role as Blanch Weboy in the film Let Him Go. In addition, she discussed the pork chop signature scene of the film. The scene, that in my opinion, she steals with her remarkable performance.
