We have some Loki runtimes! Also, a new official spot for Loki has confirmed that the character is gender-fluid in the MCU. Of course, there are some fans up in arms over this, as you’d expect. Yet, this perceived anger comes from a place of ignorance (surprise, surprise!). You see, in some ways Loki was male-washed (yeah I made that up) in the MCU to begin with. Check out Loki’s mythology from the Norse legends and you will see Loki really was gender-fluid. Loki was at several times a female, and even gave birth as a female many times before ever fathering a child as a male.
There have been rumors that we might see a female-Loki within the series and honestly that would be less bat-s**t crazy than most of Loki’s mythology. The evidence comes from the below spot. Rather than within the spot itself, if you read the thumbnail below, you will see Loki’s sex is marked by the TVA as ‘Fluid’.

As per the tile we also have conformation of the runtimes for the first two episodes of the series. Check it out below, along with an initial reaction from someone who has seen the first two eps, Diego Andaluz.
Here’s my initial thoughts! Only Episode 1 will come out this week, but I’ll also be covering Episode 2 next week! https://t.co/OZit7jOe9j

In general the social media reactions I am seeing are overwhelmingly positive. Most saying that so far Loki is the best Disney+ show to date from Marvel. To be fair, this was exactly what I expected to hear and it fills me with hope. I have not watched any of Loki yet, though I’m sure my colleague Manny has (lucky SOB). However I am hyped for Loki big time, because it looks bloody fantastic and I can’t wait for Wednesday.
What do you think of all this? Does the fact Loki is gender-fluid bother you at all, if so, why? Are you happy with the runtimes for those first two episodes? Leave any thoughts below.
