Some Loki plot details have started to appear in little pieces of merchandise and this particular story is no different. It goes without saying that whether this leak information is official or not, it carries potential SPOILERS for Loki Episode 1.
As such, I will use an image to give those who want to completely fresh a chance to back out now.
**Potential Loki SPOILERS below**
Still with me? This specific piece of information comes form an Amazon listing in Brazil. The listing is for Marvel’s Loki. The Art of the Series and it has the following summary.
Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat. Follow the god of chaos through exclusive concept art and behind the scenes interviews in this keepsake art book.
I guess therefore we know now why Loki agrees to work with the TVA. It’s either that or he gets completely deleted from existence. Well, one assumes his particular version of Loki anyway rather than all of them. We also know now there is a far bigger threat to the timeline out there than Loki. Is this perhaps the rumored Kang played by Jonathan Majors? Majors is heavily rumored to play Kang and show up both in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Though, it’s also possible that Kang is not actually an antagonist in Loki and this is some other threat to the timeline?
I now picture a reluctant Loki helping the TVA but always looking for a way out. I’m guessing Loki’s character development will see him realizing his role at the TVA is necessary. Perhaps even to to serve the greater good? That’s not something this version of Loki would ever dream of doing yet, but we know there is another side to Loki that ultimately ends in his death at the hands of Thanos.
I’m intrigued by these latest Loki plot details, what about you? As always, leave aby thoughts below.
