Lorne Balfe scoring Wheel Of Time Season 2 the composer confirms. There was a bit of a panic amongst Wheel of Time fans after a tweet from composer Lorne Balfe where he talked about being sad to finish The Wheel of Time project. However Balfe was quick to allay fears of fans when he clarified he was referring to Season 1 and that he will indeed be back scoring The Wheel of Time Season 2. Season 2 is expected, but not guaranteed to be on Amazon Prime around the Holiday season later this year. However until confirmation of that is made official, this is just guess work based on production schedules etc.

Phew! As a fan of the books there were things I loved about WoT Season 1. However there was also some details I did not, and hope to see improved. One of the things I think was universally praised by all though was the score by Balfe. Not merely just the title sequence which is great, but Balfe’s score really was epic in many episodes and I can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us in Season 2.

We know that WoT Season 2 will have a bigger budget than Season 1 did. I would have hoped to see that translate into a further episode or two. However until we get any details, we don’t know if that’s even currently a possibility? COVID definitely had an impact on Season 1 and that shouldn’t be as much of a concern in Season 2. Yet, many of the shows issues (for me personally) were down to some strange choices made in the adaptation. Jury is out for me still, but I hope beyond all hope that criticisms are taken on board and acted upon in Season 2.
So don’t panic folks, Lorne Balfe scoring Wheel of Time Season 2 after all. Leave any thoughts you have in the usual spot below.
