Ever since The Sixth Sense, M. Night Shyamalan’s fans followed his work diligently to guess any and surprise twist for every film he directed. Some films have surprise unexpected endings, while a few remained somewhat predictable.
Shyamalan rarely ventures into the television format world, but when Servant came along—it was not a project he wanted to pass up.
As an executive producer for this Apple TV+ series, Shyamalan contributed his signature twists and turns in this long-format series. His influence is noticeable as fans keep guessing the next twist in this strange and suspenseful show. As always, the series takes place in Philadelphia and its surroundings with all his other prior projects.
With its second season launching in Apple TV+ this week, Servant continues the story about a strange baby caretaker for a couple, who lost their child.
The series star Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Rupert Grint, and Nell Tiger Free. Tony Basgallop created the series.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with executive producer M. Night Shyamalan on his influence and telling a long-format story with the ultimate ending seasons away.
M. Night Shyamalan started with his first film Praying with Anger in 1992 based on his own trip to India. His follow-up film was Wide Awake in 1998. However, he gained international recognition with 1999’s The Sixth Sense, which later garnered six Academy Award nominations. A year later, he directed a fan favorite Unbreakable that starred Bruce Willis. His other major films included Signs, The Village, Lady in the Water, The Happening, The Last Airbender, After Earth, The Visit, and Split.
Season two of Servant is available for streaming on Apple TV+ starting this Friday.
