In a recent interview Marvel boss Kevin Feige teases surprises worth waiting for coming at SDCC 26′, which is almost upon us. Feige and Sony’s Amy Pascal have been doing press for Spider-Man: Brand New Day which gets a full release on July 31st, with previews starting 29th.

I’ll cover what Feige and Pascal had to say about Brand New Day when they spoke to Collider in a separate article. However, Feige was also asked some questions about Marvel’s return to Hall H at SDCC this coming Saturday, after skipping 2025.

“Listen, you probably know as good a tease as I do in terms of the fact that when we go to Hall H, it’s for a reason, and it’s to have some surprises and show a few things. It’s our home away from home, Hall H, so I’m very excited to be heading back.”

He was then asked about Black Panther 3 and said,

“Maybe. Maybe.”

Then, when could we hear about X-Men casting?

“Maybe. Maybe.”

Rumors wise, I’ll cover what insiders are saying to expect or not expect in a Barside Buzz article later today. However, it would be fair to say both these films come up in those rumors.

I’ll just say I don’t think we have enough time for an X-Men casting announcement given what the rumored status is. They could theoretically trot out the cast they have signed up so far, but given a few real life issues and potential spoiler issues for a film out a week later, I don’t see it.

I’ll also add here, as it’s related to the wider MCU, that Feige was asked if Brand New Day is set before Avengers: Doomsday?

“It takes place before.”

Asked if it was right before?

“No, it’s before.”

To which Pascal clarified it is set 4 years post-No Way Home, which is I think all we need to know going in.

Check back in an hour for our latest Barside Buzz article if you’re into all that. If not, hope you enjoy tuning in for the online parts of Marvel’s Hall H presentation this Saturday, I always do. Leave any thoughts below.
