Some Marvel Barside Buzz, a ‘Thor Quest’ project of some kind in development, plus, has John Malkovich been cut from Fantastic Four? We are going in reverse order here, as the second one isn’t as much of a leak/rumor as it is a curious fan rumor. The fans know that around 10+ minutes has been cut from the last test screening of Fantastic Four: First Steps compared to the theatrical version we’ll all see soon. It was just over 2 hours and is now around 10 minutes under that. Trust me on that one.
In itself this would mean little. However, the latest Disney official website post about the film’s final trailer is… curious. Curious because the name of veteran actor John Malkovich, whom we think was playing Red Ghost, is no longer listed. Feel free to check the link above yourself. Now, does this prove Malkovich scenes were cut? No, of course not. However, it does have fans wondering if this is the case or not? I think, a valid discussion to be having based on the evidence.
I’m not sure it matters at this stage, because the movie we see is the one we’ll judge. However, it will be curious to see if Red Ghost makes the cut, or not, in the theatrical version?

Secondly today a more traditional Barside Buzz from an insider. This one is from Daniel RPK. However, really there’s nothing much to say about it. Daniel says he’s heard there is currently a project called ‘Thor Quest’ in development. However, there are no more details. Is this Thor 5, a film we also know is in development? Or, is this something else with a Thor connection? We don’t even know if it’s TV or film.
As said, we already have credible rumors that Thor 5 is on development. If this is just a code name for that, it makes sense. If not, I can’t think what it could be? I guess, as always we will see what comes out farther down the line on this one.
