It seems Michael Waldron is writing Marvel’s Nova series, plus we have a look at the Doctor Doom throne room display at Shanghai Expo from Doomsday. Let’s begin with the Nova news and the last we heard this in development Disney+ series was put on hold, but not dead. Well according to Michael Waldron’s WGA page, he is listed as the writer on Marvel’s Nova series. What does this mean?
[UPDATE]
According to CBM, Marvel Studios has reached out to them to say Waldron is NOT writing the Nova series. No more details were published. Original story below.
Well for one Waldron’s name was not originally associated with Nova in any way we knew about. That either means he was involved without us knowing and nothing has changed, or it’s picking back up and Waldron has come aboard. Most fan seems convinced it is the latter and I have no reason to dampen their enthusiasm for now.
Waldron was showrunner on Loki Season 1 and still involved in Season 2 whilst his attention was diverted last minute to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Most recently Waldron will at least get some kind of writing credit on Avengers: Doomsday. Perhaps for an earlier version of the plot, with a few elements taken forward? We don’t actually know for sure, but it is clear Stephen McFeely is the main writer since the Russo’s came on board.
Nova seems like a smart series for Marvel to make, a proper sci-fi/superhero hybrid with some good villains. My only worry would be how expensive it would be to make in this current budget environment. Then again, Secret Invasion seemed like a smart idea until we saw the series, so you never know.

One would assume this is how Doom’s throne will look in the film, or it would be a strange display. What do you think?
Let us know what you think of the idea of Michael Waldron writing the Nova series also in the usual spot below.
