Did we finally have enough of Peter Parker?
There are plenty of rumors and speculations that Miles Morales will be the next Spider-Man. If so, then it’s a strong possibility that Latino or black actor could play the web slinger.
Jeff Sneider appeared on “Meet The Movie Press†to discuss various things and one of the topics came up was with Spider-Man.
“This not set in stone guys, but I’m telling you right now: Spider-Man’s not going to be white,†he said.
Snieder is ninety-five percent sure of it. And after Sony Pictures’s leaked e-mails last year and charges of racism—this move may appease the critics.
With 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War†around the corner, Marvel needs to make a quick decision on the direction of Spider-Man. Spidey is expected to make his appearance in that movie.
Even Dan Slott, current writer on Spider-Man comics, put his two cents on Twitter. He’s even opened to let Peter Parker be a minority if Marvel wants to move in that direction.
“In an age where Samuel L. Jackson is a perfect Nick Fury, we’re past the point where the movies HAVE to look EXACTLY like the comics,†Slot Tweeted. “It’s not about ‘for the sake of it.’ It’s because ‘Why not?’ Why CAN’T an African American, Asian American, or ANYBODY be Spider-Man?â€
