In the last week or so we have seen merchandise promoting the Spider-Man: No Way Home Spidey suit. Dubbed now the black and gold suit (duh), one of the suits we saw was black with gold webbing. A new image has appeared online of this black and gold suit. The social media post below gives us a good look at an upcoming figure. As you can see, Holland’s likeness is one of the alternative heads that can be fit on.

It’s definitely starting to look like Holland will don this suit, along with one or two others during No Way Home. I guess fans are eagerly waiting to hear of Maguire and Garfield are in the movie to see if their suits are the same as they were in their own movies. The fact that three suits were previously shown had some fans speculating whether underneath were three different Spider-Men. However, that does not appear to be the case here. That’s two of those suits confirmed to be worn by Holland. The third suit was the one that looks most like Holland’s suit in Far From Home, so that’s also unlikely to be worn by anyone else.

Up front, I’ve always been a fan of black suit Spider-Man. Not the one from Spider-Man 3, and certainly not this one either. I mean the real black suit Spider-Man
I’d love to see this suit in live-action one day. However with Venom currently doing his own thing in the fMCU, it’s unlikely.
As for the black and gold suit? Meh, it’s alright I guess. Overall the only thing I’m not liking about Marvel’s take on Spider-Man is all the suit changes. However, I have a theory that’s to do with Sony making money off the marketing of the movie. You see when you buy a comic looking Spider-Man lunch box, that’s got nothing to do with Sony. Marvel, and therefore Disney still owns the rights to Spider-Man as a comic character. Sony however holds the TV and Film rights. So when a lunchbox gets made with the specific movie suits, Sony does get some money as it’s their movie.
Anyway, that’s purely a weird theory I’ve had for 20 years. What do you think of this Spider-Man: No Way Home Spidey suit? Do you like the black and gold suit, if not, why?
