![In a recent interview OG Avenger Jeremy Renner explains why he won't be returning for Hawkeye Season 2, which is rumored to go ahead anyway. First off, let us deal with the facts. Renner had a Tik Tok interview with High Performance and he says he was asked to do Hawkeye Season 2, but for half his fee for Season 1. “They asked me to do Season 2, and they offered me half the money. I’m like, ‘Well, it’s going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money, and eight months of my time, essentially, to do it for half the amount.” “I’m like, ‘I’m sorry? Why? Did you think I’m only half the Jeremy because I got ran over? Maybe that’s why you want to pay me half of what I made on the first season.'” “This is not Marvel, mind you. This is like, just Disney, not even really Disney. It’s just the penny pinchers, the accountants. I told them to go fly a kite. I mean, just at the at the insult offer. So we didn’t see eye to eye on it. Sadly, I still love the character. I’d still love to do it, but I I had to defend myself. I didn’t ask for any more money, mind you. Just pay me what I made made the first season. So it’s all disheartening that that didn’t happen, but that’s fine. I’m happy to let that go, because my body’s probably thanking me, time and time again, that I’m not doing it right now. However, rumor wise, it seems like that might nit happen. We have a rumor from MTTSH that despite this news Hawkeye Season 2 will move ahead without Renner. "Despite Jeremy Renner's decision to not do it a season 2 of Hawkeye, [it's] still moving forward with Hailee Steinfeld as the lead." Hmm, I have no doubt Steinfeld can lead the series if that's the direction. But, then it's not Hawkeye Season 2 is it? It's Kate Bishop Season 1, unless she takes on the Hawkeye name, which she hasn't done so far. Not sure I buy this one myself, and I could see Disney working out a deal, but I know little about the business side of Hollywood, so maybe I'm just dreaming because it ain't my money? The latest Barside Buzz says a Nova Disney + series to begin production next year, plus Hawkeye renewed for Season 2. Let’s start with Nova which has been rumored to be in development for quite some time at Marvel Studios. Whether the project would be a movie or a show was seemingly undecided. However, Daniel RPK claims on his Patreon that Nova will now be a Disney+ series.
RPK also says that production will begin on the show next year. As for what to expect, RPK claims that the studio is looking for a younger (20’s) lead actor. This led the leaker to speculate that it may be that Sam Alexander and not Richard Rider that’s the lead character. However, many fans have pointed out this theory does not really pan out. Sam has been portrayed younger than that in the comics and the current comic book version of Richards is in his mid 20’s. We also therefore need to point out that RPK never claimed it would be Sam. Some other leakers have questioned this since it dropped. He simply said he thought it may be based on the age profile of the casting call.
So, we are probably a step closer to getting a Nova project and that’s a good thing. This one has been in development for an age, so let’s hope they finally have a good direction to take it.

Our second rumors is from MTTSH. The leaker claims that Hawkeye has been given a Season 2 order at Marvel Studios. As you can see in the post below, or check the transcript after, she also claims to have some plot details.

I actually like the idea of Clint and Kate stuck somewhere having to fend off hordes of attackers. It kinda fits with that action/comedy tone Season 1 set. As for the brother Barney thing, well I must admit I never knew Clint had a brother until I read this. I can’t say I read many Hawkeye comics as a kid, just caught him in Avengers comics mostly.
Also, I’m sure this may actually be a series renewal most fans are happy about. Far as I can recall most fans thought Hawkeye was decent and liked Kate and Clint’s relationship. So why not I say?
