There are some Obi-Wan Kenobi SPOILERS here regarding Vader, Kenobi and more. I must stress I debated whether to share this or not? This is going a little too far into SPOILER territory for me. However, the news is out there, so it’s up to you I guess whether you read on? We are talking specific plot spoilers for the end of the show and the fight’s between Vader and Kenobi, so be warned!
Obi-Wan Kenobi SPOILERS Below!
LRM published an article claiming that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader would face off twice in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. Now MSW has confirmed this, but also added a lot more detail in to what actually happens in these fights and where. There are also some pretty major spoilers about Qui Gon Jinn,. For me, actually genuine plot spoilers from the end of the show are a bit of a bridge too far. I’d rather not know, and we certainly would choose not to share major spoilers like this. However MSW is a site that makes it’s living off of leaks and spoilers, and we don’t. I can therefore understand why they need to share anything they get. I’d just prefer there were no solid plot leaks like we have had recently from the other Disney+ shows. Oh well, you don’t always get what you want.
You’ve been warned enough.
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Arc
When we meet Obi-Wan Kenobi a decade after Revenge of the Sith he has lost all hope. Sources say the lonely and broken Jedi reaches out with the Force and calls to his old master. Cut off from most social life, living in a cave, Kenobi attempts to learn to contact the closest thing to father he ever had. And when he reaches out and calls for his old master, absolutely nothing happens. Crushing.
Life is not going as expected for Kenobi. That glimmer of hope we saw in his eye when Yoda confessed to communicating with Qui-Gon ten years before has faded. Obi-Wan is calling out and Qui-Gon is not answering. Owen will not let Kenobi have any interactions with Luke and he works a hard job for a pittance to survive. This is very difficult for Kenobi and it sounds like it is getting in the way of his training. Kenobi does not understand what is holding him back from reaching that next level. So he sits in silence when he attempts to reach his master.
As Kenobi goes on one last adventure (for now anyways), he meets hopeful allies. He sees resistance and rebellion forming throughout the galaxy. He experiences the indomitable spirit of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala’s daughter as she assists an underground railroad in defiance of the Empire. Obi-Wan moves from hopelessness to hopeful for the future as he sees he is not really alone in this fight.
In a middle chapter, Kenobi experiences the beginnings of resistance as young Leia Organa aids a movement to save political dissidents of Palpatine’s Empire. There is hope. However, Kenobi is only starting to see it now.
Vader vs Kenobi Round 1 & 2
Kenobi’s first fight with Vader does not go so well. But a re-energized and strategically sound Kenobi becomes more determined to stop Darth Vader and confronts him on Mustafar’s rocky moon. It is in this second fight that Qui-Gon appears as a voice to Obi-Wan encouraging him and assisting him in his battle against the Dark Lord of the Sith.
To be clear, this is just Qui-Gon’s voice acting as Mickey from the Rocky films. Obi-Wan has his mojo back and can hear Qui-Gon now. This voice guides Kenobi and for the first time in a long time, he knows he must win because they are going to win this fight against evil. He has work to do!
Qui-Gon Jin
My sources believe when Obi-Wan finally returns home to Tatooine we see him enter his dwelling after this adventure and Kenobi is a changed man. He is not the man we saw laying on a floor, beaten and destroyed in the first chapter. He’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Master. And that is when Qui-Gon Jinn appears to him as Force ghost he can physically see. Obi-Wan having connected with the living Force and with his spirits raised he is now ready to begin his work with Qui-Gon Jinn and become more powerful than the Sith could possibly imagine.

Now the outlet does go on to say this plot summary and details are based a little on them putting the puzzle pieces together. However with so much seeming details it’s hard to see a massive difference when we get to see the show. Sure, there is plenty of detail left to discover, but giving actual details of the fights and how Qui-Gon returns? Well as I said up top, too far for me. However, i get spoiled all the time, comes with the job, you made the choice to check these out, so you’re probably not someone that bothers much with whether you get spoiled or not. Hey, that’s absolutely fine as well.
