HBO has released a first look at Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in The Last Of Us. The upcoming show based on the game has been filming recently. This is our first glimpse of Joel and Ellie the two main characters of the game, and it seems the show as well. Check it out.

We still have no word on when we might expect The Last of Us to air on HBO. The show is still in production as confirmed by HBO above. TLOU and it’s sequel are some of PlayStation’s most popular games from in-house studio Naughty Dog.
TLOU revolves around survival story set within an apocalyptic pandemic. Joel, who has already lost everything is tasked with helping Ellie to get somewhere important. However there are many dangers both on the way and once they arrive that need to be contended with. I have never played TLOU myself, however I have watched various playthrough’s of the game. It would be fair to say the story is more lauded than the gameplay in TLOU. Hopefully that could lend itself to a good adaptation, for once.

Still, like most video game adaptations it remains to be seen whether non video game fans will take to the show as a pure drama. Pascal’s star is very bright right now. After really hitting fame in Game of Thrones Pascal has gone on to star in Narco’s and then The Mandalorian, along with appearances in many movies. Once filming finishes on The Last of Us, it is expected Pascal will head straight to LA for filming on The Mandalorian Season 3. Far as we know there cannot be long to go as we know other cast members have indicated they’d start shooting by the end of September/beginning of October.
