Pedro Pascal Quashes The Mandalorian Mask Disagreement Rumors

You probably remember The Mandalorian mask disagreement rumors surrounding Pedro Pascal and Lucasfilm. Insider Grace Randolph said that Pascal was unhappy to have to keep wearing the mask. She also said things got so bad that Pascal walked off set and would not be back for Season 3. She even said Pascal did not appear at all in the final three episodes of Season 2.

Now, I’m not going to be one of those people who dismisses Randolph completely, because I know she does get good information, at times. However, we here at LRM have been refuting Randolph’s claim since the day it was made. The story was potentially huge, so LRM quickly reached out to our source at Lucasfilm to check. We were told not to worry, was there disagreements between the artist and the producers? Yes, however our source did not see this as anything outside of the disagreements that can happen in any production. We were told that Pascal did not storm off set, was 100% going to be in Season 3, and was indeed featured in the final three episodes. I.e there wasn’t nothing, but it had been blown out of proportion.

First piece of solid evidence this was wrong was when Pascal removed his helmet in the penultimate episode. However prior to this it has been clear that this aspect of Mando is evolving throughout Season 2. Pascal would be fully aware of this character development whilst filming Season 2. I personally think we will see a lot more of Pascal without the helmet as The Mandalorian goes on.

Mandalorian mask disagreement rumors

Yesterday though, we got the clearest indication yet these claims were wrong. Pascal appeared on BBC’s The One Show with WW84 star Gal Gadot to promote their upcoming movie. Pascal was asked about wearing the mask and had this to say.

‘It’s always been a very clear creed for the character … we’ve all been on the same page with this’

However, despite all of this, there are still some fans that believe somehow Randolph was right? I guess that’s how rumors go, some fans will always believe the most extreme version of a story. So can we out this one to bed finally, no more Mandalorian mask disagreement rumors? Honestly, right from day one wee have been saying this was a big drama about very little.
