Through the ages of cinema, there are great cartel films about criminal enterprises. And then there are many great border cartel films showcasing exciting stories of these criminal enterprises on the border. Philippe A. Haddad shared his acting experience as both Mexican and American in this cross-cultural film of American Sicario.
The movie also stars Maurice Compte, Maya Stojan, Jaylen Moore, Johhny Rey Diaz, and Danny Trejo. RJ Collins directed the movie from a script written by Rich Ronat.
Here is the official synopsis of American Sicario:
The story of the rise and fall of the first American-born drug lord in Mexico, this tale of power, money, greed, and betrayal amongst rival members of the drug cartels fins American gangster Erik Vasquez (Philippe A. Haddad) scheming to become the top dog in the Mexican underworld, only to find himself making enemies out of both the powerful cartels and his own allies.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta talked with actor Philippe A. Haddad on his role and attraction to the movie. He talked about the character’s motivations and being in a cartel movie. Also, he is a producer on the film, in which he divulged some behind-the-scenes activities in making the movie.
Multi-lingual Philippe A. Haddad is a very versatile actor, who is fluent in five languages. He started acting as a child at the young of four in school plays and enrolled in formal acting classes at age 12. He was in many short films, including Mr. Hollywood, Sanu Stories, and The Wrong Place. American Sicario marked his feature film acting debut. Currently, he is in the production of the mystery series Hidden Springs.
