GOTHAM, the Fox TV series set in the DC Comics world of Batman, has always placed a strong emphasis on the Dark Knight’s villains. The prequel series has been tweaking, deconstructing, and reinterpreting the origins of many of Batman’s most notorious rogues.
Looks like Poison Ivy is the latest to get a twist.
The character of Pepper Ivy, who’s been portrayed by the child actress Claire Foley up until now, has been replaced by Maggie Geha.
The actress will portray Poison Ivy, who has been transformed after an encounter with one of Hugo Strange’s creatures at the end of last season. Pepper has found herself reborn as a 19 year old who’s able to tap into the full power of her charms.
GOTHAM returns September 19.
