Rumble is going to be one monster main event next year.
The animated film merged the love of gigantic monster battles in a wrestling arena.
The voice cast includes Will Arnett, Terry Crews, Geraldine Viswanathan, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’I, Tony Danza, Becky Lynch, Susan Kelechi Watson, Stephan A. Smith, Jimmy Tatro, Ben Schwartz, and Michael Buffer. Hamish Grieve (animator for Rise of the Guardians and Monsters vs. Aliens) makes his feature animation film debut from a script written by Etan Cohen (Holmes & Watson, Idiocracy) and Matt Lieberman (Scoob!, The Christmas Chronicles).
Here’s the official synopsis:
In a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes, teenage Winnie seeks to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching a loveable underdog monster into a champion.
Very little details are revealed for the film, except that WWE Studios is involved with this project. The animated film does have a notable voice cast and two seasoned screenwriters in the business.
Rumble will be in theaters nationwide next year on January 29.
