If it wasn’t clear based on the batch of shows and films on the horizon for the MCU, diversity is the name of the game. With the likes of Shang-Chi, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel on the way, it’s clear that the studio has learned from Black Panther is that audiences will come out for these types of shows and movies — so long as they’re actually good, of course.
With the gates wide open for all comers, it looks like they’ll be pulling a relatively recent character into the MCU, if we’re to believe a report from The GWW. The outlet states that Marvel Studios is in the early stages of development on a Miss America series that centers around America Chavez.

In case you’re like me and didn’t even know this character existed until today, she was introduced in Vengeance #1 back in 2011 and eventually got her own series called America in 2017.
Perhaps the most exciting part is that she seems to be the latest ingredient in a potential Ultimates series or film. As the outlet states, the team consists of Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Spectrum, Blue Marvel, and America. The first two characters already exist in the MCU, Spectrum (Monica Rameau) is already confirmed in WandaVision, and they believe that Blue Marvel is being cast for another upcoming project, though that remains to be seen.
