According to a new trade report, Sadie Sink will reprise her mystery Spider-Man: Brand New Day character in Avengers: Secret Wars. The information in an article from Deadline, was almost like an afterthought to the focus of the rest of the article.
Here is what Deadline said,
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to open on July 31. There has been much speculation about the role Sink has in the Spidey film, and frankly, I do not know the answer, but I do know that she’ll join the cast of the next Avengers picture that shoots here in London later in 2026.’
That is of course Secret Wars, which we know begins filming Summer of 2026, as per official Disney information.

As for speculation on Sink’s role, this really just takes it to the next level. I myself can’t help now thinking about one of the earliest rumors we had regarding Sink. Jeff Sneider said he heard she was playing Jean Grey, before the news broke of her cast in Spider-Man and said he was still hearing the same initially after.
Other rumors have Sink playing a shape shifting tier Z Marvel villain, which could be true also. However, whatever character it is Sink is playing, it looks like she is sticking around for Secret Wars. Secret Wars of course comes after Doomsday chronologically. However, as of now, we still don’t know if Doomsday and Brand New Day happen at the same time or not? We heard that rumor once, but before the films switched places in release order.
Maybe Sink is just playing another MJ from the Multiverse, I genuinely have no idea? I’m not sure anyone does for sure and if they do, they’re not talking.
