Some new Marvel related Barside Buzz to share as Sam Raimi supposedly nearing a deal to direct Doctor Strange 3. Raimi of course was on helming duties for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That film wasn’t all that well received, however, the issues most fans had was at the script level. Raimi’s directing of the film was actually one of the better aspects of the movie. Least, that’s the general feeling of the vocal online fans.
The rumor comes from Jeff Sneider at The Insneider. His latest newsletter claiming that Raimi is nearing a deal to direct this third Strange movie. So far, there is no idea on who may be writing the story, who may be involved, outside of Strange, nor when it may fall in the slate we have. My spider-sense is tingling though for that November 2026 slot. Just tucked in between Doomsday/ probably Spider-Man 4, 2026 and Secret Wars in 2027.
That being said, that is just my guess. I’ve heard no rumors indicating any timeslot for expecting this movie to drop.

Of course take this with a pinch of salt for now like all rumors. That being said Jeff has a very good hit rate for Marvel news. Additionally there have been rumors Raimi was being considered for this movie since the last one dropped.
As for what we can expect in DS3? Well, one would assume Charlize Theron’s Clea would be involved given how the last film ended. One would also assume this will be about Strange traversing the Multiverse. Also, by that by the time he shows up in Secret Wars he can help save the day.
I guess we will have to wait and see? Keep an eye out for any other rumors on DS3 or other Marvel projects on LRM Online.
What do you think of the rumor that Sam Raimi is nearing a deal to direct Doctor Strange 3? Thoughts below as always.
