Unless something completely unexpected happens, I think we all expect Sam Wilson to be Captain America by the end of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Now we could have our first glimpse at Sam’s Captain America costume courtesy of, as usual, a toy leak.
Remember The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was originally supposed to be over by now. If not for the pandemic we’d probably have seen WandaVision, FATWS, and also Black Widow and Eternals in theaters. So ultimately what that means is that there is a ton of merchandise sitting in warehouses somewhere for all these MCU projects. Occasionally lately, some of those toys and images have leaked, and here we are again.

Clearly this is an official toy line for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and unlike other Sam toys we have seen, this costume is different. Previously all the Falcon toys have been, well Falcon toys, and not Captain America toys. Most images of Sam in the show have shown him either in civvies or wearing his Falcon get up. I always assumed that by the end of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier we would see Sam in a new ‘Cap’ suit. It looks very much to me like this is, or at least very close to, the live-action look. You can also see that instead of being called a Falcon or Sam Wilson figure, it is called Captain America.
This is just a toy and as such I expect some differences when we see this suit for real. However, I’ll bet design wise, we are looking at something very similar her to Sam’s final look as Captain America. One detail that I’ve been waiting to see was whether Sam would still use the ‘Falcon Wings’? You see I have a feeling that the currently non-super powered Sam will be getting some Super Soldier serum by the end of this Disney+ show. So I wondered whether Sam would need the wings once this transformation was complete?
