Set Photos Reveals Superman Will Don Black Suit In Arrowverse Crossover ‘Elseworlds’
For many months leading up to the release of Justice League, filmmaker Zack Snyder and actor Henry Cavill teased that the Man of Steel would be donning the black suit. Unfortunately, Justice League came and went, and we were left with nothing but a single shot in a deleted scene where we saw the suit in the background, hinting that Superman was never really meant to wear it.
Almost as if hearing the cry from fans, the folks over at The CW have worked to rectify the situation with their own Superman. As revealed in a new set photo from Arrow star Stephen Amell, it looks like Superman will be wearing the very iconic black suit that eluded Henry Cavill.

But of course, we can’t help but wonder…why in the hell is he even wearing this suit to begin with? Seriously, why? Given that it’s an Elseworlds story, it’s not out of the questions to assume that perhaps there is some version of the character in the multiverse that is a little less happy-go-lucky than Tyler Hoechlin’s take on Kal-El.
Sadly, we have no details about what Superman’s involvement in the story will entail, but we know he won’t be the only high-profile super, as Batwoman will also be making her CW debut.
What do you think of the suit and how do you think it will play into the story for the upcoming crossover? Let us know your thoughts down below!
