When Disney+ launched last year one of the biggest figurative carrots it dangled to subscribers was it’s all new original Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. We are about a week since the last episode of the first season “Chapter 8: Redemption” dropped on on the streaming service. With that now set and done, what other carrot will Disney offer viewers to keep Disney+ while the next batch of original content hits the streaming service?
Well we have another highly requested Star Wars series that will be featuring it’s seventh and final season on Disney+ starting on Monday, February 17th, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
This very popular animated series, spins off the theatrical film that shares the same name Star Wars: The Clone Wars, first premiered on Cartoon Network back in 2008 and it ran for five seasons. In 2014 via Netflix a sixth season that was named “The Lost Missions” was released.
For the most part fans felt that the series really didn’t have a proper ending, so like any good fan base, they campaigned for another season. Lucky for us during Comic-Con International in San Diego 2 years ago, Lucasfilm revealed that the series would have one final twelve episode seventh series on the Disney streaming service. Now in January of 2020 we are about a month and a half away from it’s release.
