Shazam’s Trailer 2 Finally Hits! Was It Worth The Wait?

After the big shake up at DC Studios, Zachary Levi gives an update on his DCU status going forward.

It’s about damn time, ain’t it? Warner Bros. has had an interesting approach regarding their upcoming DC film, Shazam! Rather than actually show us a couple of trailers leading up to the film’s release, they’ve opted to instead show us one trailer, and then give us an endless barrage of TV spots leading up to the release. Now, a solid month away from the movie’s release, we finally have a second trailer for the flick!

This new trailer comes following a whole month of speculation from fans as to where this trailer could be. Some had begun to cry foul with this movie, claiming its lack of a new trailer was indicative of a troubled movie, though director David F. Sandberg has consistently pushed back against such rhetoric against it.

Below is the official synopsis for Shazam!:

“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”

So what do you think of this new trailer? Does it get you any more excited for the film to come, or is it too little, too late…despite it still being a month from release? Let us know down below!
