Check out my Skeleton Crew Episode 7 review and this episode was pretty good, or close enough. My favourite episode it was not, but I liked it better than Episode 6. As always, I’ll be staying SPOILER FREE, which will be trickier this week. I’ll talk around certain moments without hopefully getting into the actual plot.
One thing I will say, which was obvious based on Episode 6’s ending, is that we get back to At Attin finally.
Jude Law’s character, or many names has been discussed endlessly since began. Is Jod a scoundrel that will turn good, like Han? Is he going to be more of a grey figure, or will he become truly villainous. I think Episode 7 does a good job of placing the character firmly into one o those categories. Therefore, It won’t surprise you that we get a lot of Jod in this episode. Not his backstory, but we do see some of his real personality slip through.
Law is very good in Episode 7 and the kids he’s acting with all did really well with a few scenes. To be honest though, the kids don’t have much to work with this week. It’s more about how they react and deal with what is all happening to them.
Whilst the mystery of what At Attin is has already been revealed, there does for me remain some mysteries to explore in the finale next week. I have half an idea of what some finale surprises will be. I mean, this is not a complicated show, but I’ll keep that to myself for now.

There was also one potentially sad moment for me in Episode 7. Though it does kinda depend on what happens next. Oh and SM-33, when he says, “Aye, but it be close enough” was may favourite moment in the entire series so far.
Overall, a good episode and a set up for a finale next week. I’m not sure exactly how that finale will go down, I have a few guesses, but where even they go remains to be seen.
GRADE: A-
Equal second best episode of the series so far, some good fun, some effective drama and a some unexpected character developments. Hope the finale is a good ending, or a reasonably good series so far.
