Sony Pictures Amy Pascal says Miles Morales live-action will happen sometime after the next two Spider-Man movies. However, since that comment it has been clarified that Pascal was referring to the next Tom Holland movie and Beyond the Spider-Verse. When I first saw this (before seeing Miller’s follow-up), I actually just assumed she meant two more Tom Holland live-action movies. However it seems most fans thought she meant there are two more animated Spider-Verse movies to come instead of one.
Check out what Pascal had to say below when she spoke to Variety. It’s not a lengthy video, but if you can’t be bothered watching Pascal is asked when we are getting a live-action Miles Morales. Amy says;
“Someday, not until we make two more movies.”

This was then followed up by Chris Miller afterwards on social media.
To clarify, when she said “not until we make two more movies,”she meant Beyond the Spider-Verse and the live-action Tom Holland film. https://t.co/3tmEwEctwB

So there you have it. The problem with Miles is, surely this happens in the SSMU and not the MCU? After all, Sony’s Spider-Man Universe currently has a real issue of not having an actual Spider-Man in it. Frankly it’s laughable to me it’s just keeping on happening that Sony makes movies featuring Spider-Man characters that don’t feature Spidey. However, that is on the live-action side of things. In animated land, the Spider-Verse movies are award winning, critically lauded and super popular amongst the comic book fan base.

Perhaps Sony have Lord and Miller working on Miles making that transition into their SSMU Spidey? Perhaps, as per usual Pascal doesn’t know what day of the week it is and is just schmoozing her way through whatever comes next. Yeah, I’m not a fan of Pascal’s work in Hollywood or her skills as a producer. I never feel like she has an actual plan, it always feels more like flying by the seat of her pants. Maybe, what we see in the media is misleading?
So, what would you want from a live-action Miles Morales? Would you go see that movie if it’s in the SSMU? What about if it was MCU instead? Leave any thoughts below as Amy Pascal says Miles Morales live-action will happen sometime after the next two Spider-Man movies.
