Sylvester Stallone has been having fun with his twitter and Instagram accounts. The 68 year old action legend took to social media this weekend to offer updates on two of his upcoming projects. Unsurprisingly, the films in question are the latest chapters in his Rocky and First Blood franchises- two properties Stallone has gotten a ton of mileage out of over the years.
Here’s the tweet that started things:

Okay, so right there, in a handful of twitter characters, Stallone dropped the announcement that he was writing the next Rambo. A fifth film in the First Blood series has been on-and-off for some time. Many thought the last film, simply titled Rambo, was going to be the end. But over the years, all kinds of interesting rumors have popped up- including one where the next one would practically be a horror film with Rambo hunting down a monstrous creature. With Stallone confirming that he’s currently writing it, and stoking those fires, fans can now see that the project has some momentum.
But then there was that other little tease at the end of the tweet, where he said, “Now get over to the Instagram!”
Ok, Sly. You got it. What’s on “the Instagram”?
Creed won’t be a straight-up sequel to the Rocky series, but rather a spin-off that focuses on the grandson of The Italian Stallion’s one-time nemesis turned ally Apollo Creed. Michael B. Jordan, who continues his meteoric rise, is playing Apollo’s grandson and it looks like his Rocky is going to transition into a mentor role, allowing Jordan’s character to take center stage.
Which Sly flick are you most interested in? For me, hands down, it’s Creed.
