Star Michael C. Hall Announces Dexter: Resurrection Is Greenlit For Season 2

All episodes of Dexter: Resurrection are now streaming on Paramount+.

Dexter star Michael C. Hall has released a video to announce that Dexter: Resurrection has been greenlit for Season 2. The fans were in a bit of an uproar that after a critically acclaimed and popular Season 1 seemed to be the end. Showtime were ready to cancel the show.

However, fans got involved and ultimately someone at Showtime has changed their mind.

Here the transcript of what Hall has to say in the video below.

“We’ve been greenlit for another season! There’s more to come. The writers’ room is assembling now. Details will be forthcoming, but I wanted to be the first to let you know that the story continues.”

Good to know, and it does encourage me to check out Season 1 which I’ve yet to do. I have of course watched all the other Dexter Seasons and the spin-off series. Like most people I think the show peaked at Season 4 and kinda went downhill from there. However, everyone says this new one was very good, so I’m happy to check it out knowing there’s more to come if I get invested.

I may even start the series tonight. I recently gave up on Tulsa King a few episodes into Season 2 as it just wasn’t a show for me. Therefore, I have a slot opened up.
