Suicide Squad 2 looks to be heading towards a March 2018 shooting date, My Entertainment World lists on their site.
If true, this is an interesting move from DC Films. The reason? The studio seemed to have a hard time maintaining their slate after the underwhelming response to Batman v Superman. The Flash film has been pushed back indefinitely, and God knows if we’ll ever get that standalone Batman film (okay, we all know we will).

However, if Suicide Squad 2 does film March of next year, then there’s a good chance it’ll be one of the three films to hit theaters from DC in 2019 — alongside Shazam and Wonder Woman 2. Considering that they recently had to pull back due on the ambition of their slate for 2019 due to developmental issues, it’s pretty ballsy of them to jump so quickly into a three-film-a-year cycle.
Suicide Squad 2 is set to be written and directed by The Accountant and Warrior director Gavin O’Connor. There’s no word yet on who the plot will revolve around. It’s been a bit unclear since both the Joker and Harley Quinn will have their own film, and that Harley Quinn could possibly have yet another outing in Gotham City Sirens. Could this be overkill for the character?
If the film is shooting as soon as it sounds, then we’ll likely know sooner rather than later. Are you looking forward to another Suicide Squad? Let us know down below!
