Some Supergirl news today following yesterdays trailer, James Gunn says the hero is ‘messy’ and apparently current cut is under two hours long. Yesterday saw the first teaser trailer for Supergirl which arrives next Summer. You can check the related section below if you missed it or the poster.

Though we do have a video from Brandon Davis around the press event showing the trailer. There’s not much to take from this one to be honest, but feel free to watch for yourself below. The most important nugget of information in this video is probably that Peter Safran said the cut was probably under two hours. However, it’s months till the film releases so we shall have to say.

Davis also says he was told the first cut of Clayface is due in January. Oh, and there was some raving about Alcock and Momoa as Supergirl and Lobo.

In another article about the event from THR, James Gunn told the crowd,

“This is really an anti-hero story. She’s got a lot of demons, a lot of baggage coming into this, which is very different from where Superman is in his life,” Gillespie told the New York crowd.

Added Gunn from the stage. “So many times female superheroes are so perfect. She’s not that at all.”

He paused. “Like male superheroes have been allowed to be for a while.”

So what do you think so far of what you have seen from Supergirl? Excited, not bothered, waiting for word of mouth? Let us know where you stand in the comments below.
