After the initial period was delayed we have some new rumors about The Acolyte shooting details from Bespin Bulletin. The Acolyte was originally scheduled to shoot in May of this year at Pinewood studios. However that was put back for whatever reasons internally. Now BB say they know where and when the upcoming Disney+ show will film. Check it out.
‘Since then I’ve been talking to various sources and keeping my ear to the ground regarding the production, and over the course of the past month or so I’ve heard from various sources that The Acolyte is in pre-production in Reading, England. Upon further digging I found out where the production was located, and I can exclusively report that The Acolyte is in pre-production and will film at the newly constructed, Shinfield Studios. Shinfield Studios currently has four operational sound stages and will have eighteen by 2024, and it had previously been confirmed that Disney would be a client on the new studio. It’s unclear at the moment if Shinfield houses a volume, which is something I’ve been trying to get confirmation on.’
‘The Acolyte is due to begin filming this November with principal photography set to run until May.’

It would be fair to say that The Acolyte is one of the most intriguing and hyped projects currently ramping up in the Star Wars Universe. The attraction to fans is that this tale will go further back than we have ever been in live-action canon before. Also, that the story will focus this time on those from the Darkside of the Force.
That is a potentially mesmerizing mix of possibilities. I guess we may start to hear more about the show later this year as production ramps up. BB also claim that a director search seems to be nearing its conclusion. We’ll will just have to wait for the next batch of The Acolyte news and see?
