First released 30 years ago, The Beatles Anthology redefined the music documentary, giving John, Paul, George, and Ringo the rare chance to tell their own story in their own words. Now, the landmark project returns in its most definitive form yet, with a global release campaign spanning streaming, music, and print.
The Beatles Anthology Documentary Series
Now a Nine-Part Series — Streaming November 26 on Disney+
The original eight-part series has been fully restored and remastered, tracing The Beatles’ rise from Liverpool clubs to worldwide phenomenon. From Beatlemania to their cultural influence in the 1960s, their spiritual journey in India, and their eventual split, the series remains one of the most intimate portraits of the band ever created.
A brand-new Episode Nine adds unseen footage from 1994–95, when Paul, George, and Ringo reunited to work on the original Anthology, reflecting on their shared history. The restoration was overseen by Apple Corps, working with Peter Jackson’s Wingnut Films and Park Road Post, with Giles Martin providing new audio mixes of the music featured throughout.
The Beatles Anthology Music Collections
Restored & Expanded to Four Volumes — Out November 21
Originally curated by George Martin, the three double albums of rare and unreleased Beatles material return, now remastered by Giles Martin. Together, they offer a behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of the band’s most iconic songs.
The collection expands with Anthology 4, featuring 13 previously unreleased demos, session recordings, and fresh mixes of Beatles tracks. Also included are new mixes of “Free As A Bird” and “Real Love,” updated by Jeff Lynne using de-mixed vocals from John Lennon’s original demos. Both are joined by 2023’s GRAMMY-winning single “Now and Then,” hailed as the final Beatles song.
The full set—191 tracks in total—will be released digitally, and in deluxe 12LP 180-gram vinyl and 8CD box sets on November 21. Special Beatles Store editions include exclusive art cards in a numbered envelope.
