The Fantastic Four: First Steps wraps filming and the internet gets a little crazy over a hidden face from a ‘wrap party’ image. As we know filming on the MCU movie has been taking place since the week after SDCC. Now the rumor industry is reporting that filming is a wrap. Also that the image you will see below is from the ‘wrap party’ for the cast and crew in London this past week. Image from @cedarstacks.

Now, there is no official word that filming has wrapped. However, we do have Kevin Feige saying it was due to wrap last week, see related section below. So it most probably has just wrapped. We may get a post mentioning this from those involved, or we may not? The point is though that we can’t for definite say this image was from the wrap party. Far as I can see though, it does make the most sense. As for the distorted image above, this caused a bit of an uproar on the internet.

The conspiracy theorists have this as being RDJ, to… anyone else you can think of. It is just as possible this image was of someone not famous who took a picture with Pedro in a bar. Not saying it is this, but point is we just don’t know. It could be a crew member, or anyone really? Unless we think this random person stumbled on the group, took the image and then agreed to hide one of the faces before posting it online?

Doesn’t make much sense does it? Unless the person who took the image was officially working for Marvel on the film. I’ve not yet seen anyone make that claim yet.

So has The Fantastic Four: First Steps wrapped filming? Probably, based on what Feige said officially. Is there any need to get riled up about that hidden face next to Pedro though? Not yet, it could be anyone who doesn’t want his face on the interweb. If some more evidence comes out that there is anything here, I’ll update the story or cover a new one if it’s significant enough.

In the meantime, The Fantastic Four: First Steps remains on course to release on July 25th.
