The Northman, starring Alexander Skarsgård is an upcoming Viking epic by filmmaker Robert Eggers.  Focus Feature released last week the official movie poster for the film. Now they have shared new character posters along with a new clip “To Valholl” from the film. Directed by Robert Eggers, the film is loosely based on a real event and has a lot of similarities to Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

The Viking epic draws on the well-known Shakespearean tale, Hamlet, with influences from Norse ancient times. The official synopsis describes the film as an “action-filled epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father’s murder.”

Focus Feature shared the character posters for The Northman and a special clip “To Valholl” which you can check out below.
