The coronavirus is certainly causing havoc all around the world. This week that madness has caught up with us here at the United States. Several states have already declared a state of emergency and even the NBA has suspended their season just a while ago. Now it seems like the virus has unfortunately reached Hollywood stars.
By no means am I implying that any one life is more important that another. This is just note worthy as he is an actor who’s films a lot of us have grown up with. According to Deadline, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were tested positive for the coronavirus.

They were both in Australia for the pre-production of Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley film from Warner Bros. Hanks is supposed to be playing Presley’s longtime manager Colonel Tom Parker. In a post on his social media Hanks confirmed the news, you can check out the post below.

This is the statement that went along with the post:
Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.
Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?
We’ll keep the world posted and updated.
Take care of yourselves!
–Tom Hanks
The untitled Elvis Presley film is supposed to be released on October 1st, 2020. But before that Hanks has another film that is scheduled to released. Sony Pictures’ Greyhound is scheduled to be released on June 12th. Also he has Amblin/Universal’s sci-fi film BIOS and Universal’s News of the World.
