Tom Holland stays coy about his future beyond Spider-Man: Brand New Day and also explains how he wants to please fans. Holland recently spoke with LADbible. He talks about filming on Brand New Day, and how he scoured the online world to see what fans were excited to see in a Spider-Man movie. However, he’s not quite ready to confirm anything coming after Brand New Day yet.
Holland is filming Brand New Day right now. He’s also right next to the shoot for Avengers: Doomsday and many fans think he will feature in at least a cameo. However, the popular industry opinion is that Holland will be one of the leads in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Clearly Holland wants the focus on Brand New Day,
“I think with anything, it’s all about what’s in front of you, and right now what’s in front of us is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and focusing on making that movie worthy of the last film. I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that’s been my driving force in these pitch meetings.”

“I think the producers, at times were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it’s really important, because we make these movies for [the fans]. In terms of my future in the character beyond this film, I don’t know the answer to that.”
I would not worry folks. I really doubt Holland signed on for just Brand New Day and now he’s free to take or leave the role. No doubt Sony and Disney have an agreement for more than one film. Reports are that this film will make the beginning of a new trilogy set within the MCU, plus the times Marvel gets to use him in Avengers films.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 31, 2026.
