Tom Holland was injured filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day and taken to hospital, plus Avengers: Doomsday wraps filming. Let’s start with a not so nice story, as it has been revealed bay many outlets today that Tom Holland suffered a head injury during filming on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The actor was taken to hospital and is expected to return to filming within days.
As per Deadline‘s coverage,
‘Filming has halted on Spider-Man: Brand New Day after Tom Holland was hospitalized amid filming on the Glasgow set.’
(I’m not sure if Glasgow is correct as filming finished there weeks ago and moved to London? However, that’s what the articles states.)
‘Deadline can confirm filming was suspended Friday as the actor was treated for a mild concussion, and a source close to production says he will take a break “out of precaution” but is expected to return to filming in a few days.’
‘According to The Sun, Holland’s injury happened during a stunt gone wrong. The outlet also reported that he since attended a charity event this weekend with co-star and fiancée Zendaya.’
I heard (social media) another report that it was Holland’s father who attended the event with Zendaya. So there does seems to be a little confusion here on exact details.
At least the most important information is that Holland is fine and will be able to return to filming after a small recovery break. I’m sure all our readers wish Holland well and a speedy recovery.

The more positive big Marvel news that broke late Friday was that Avengers: Doomsday has wrapped principal photography, i.e. filming. This will mark the beginning of a huge period of post-production that will run up till release next December, 18.
As per THR,
‘On the other side of the pond, Avengers: Doomsday wrapped principal photography in the U.K. today. But true to the Marvel Method, Kevin Feige and the Russo Bros. will be tinkering as they prepare for a healthy dose of additional photography down the road.’
We already know reshoots are always planned for all Marvel movies and as the trade says, with a film this this, expect a sizeable amount of reshoots once the Russos start cutting the film into shape.
So, as always leave any comments below about Tom Holland’s injury, or Avengers: Doomsday wrapping.
