Severance actor Tramell Tillman is confirmed for Spider-Man: Brand New Day whilst Florence Pugh also rumored for the film. In addition we have a few more Brand New Day/Doomsday rumors to cover in the Barside Buzz section.
First though, the actual confirmed news, via Variety that Tramell Tillman has been cast in an undisclosed role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
‘Tramell Tillman is heading from the severed floor to the streets of New York City. The Emmy-nominated actor is joining the cast of Sony and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” Variety has learned exclusively.’
‘Details on Tillman’s character in the web-slinging adventure remain under wraps, but he’ll join Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Zendaya’s M.J. Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, plus additional cast members Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas in mysterious new roles.’
Though less of a headline, it’s worth noting this is also the first we’ve heard of Liza Colón-Zayas appearing in the film. So, that’s the ‘official’ news. Now onto the rumors.

No character name yet for Tillman, but according to ApocHorseman, Tillman is playing a villain, but not the main villain of the film, which seems to still be under wraps.

I’m a big fan of Tillman, but he’s in that breakout period where he’s being cast for a new face in movies rather than being given parts that use his talent. It’s a process any breakout TV star has to go through and usually involves playing a villain in a comic books or sci-fi film.
Now, here’s another rumor that Tillman will be joined in Spider-Man: Brand New Day by Florence Pugh, AKA Yelena/Black Widow. There’s been a rumor for a couple of weeks that an additional known Marvel hero would show up in the film.

Given Pugh is already in London filming Doomsday, she’s going to be busy. Like potential Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, Pugh also has filming soon on Dune 3 and Daniel says the actors will jump between both gigs, potentially three for Pugh.
Finally with that slight link above lets look at an Avengers: Doomsday rumor from Daniel on his Patreon.
Leading on from some previous rumors around Steve Rogers Daniel says,
“In Avengers Doomsday, Doom is after people [who] caused Incursions to the Multiverse.”
