Look, I don’t need a raven to tell me when a Game of Thrones alum’s got a new gig. The pull of Westeros still tugs on the soul like Valyrian steel, so when Sophie Turner’s name popped up in my inbox with a new film called Trust, I perked up like a direwolf catching a scent.

Mark your calendars: Trust hits theaters August 22, 2025.

And what’s that, Littlefinger? Chaos is a ladder? Well then, this trailer’s already halfway up it. I’m not gonna lie, the preview for Trust is a chaotic tangle of suspicion, lust, manipulation, and some very sharp looks exchanged in very expensive rooms. But it’s also kind of fascinating, in that “wait, what exactly is going on here?” sort of way. Which, honestly, might be the point.

The cast? A real wild assortment of talent: Sophie Turner, Rhys Coiro, Billy Campbell, Peter Mensah, Forrest Goodluck, Gianni Paolo, Renata Vaca, and Katey Sagal. That’s a brunch table I’d kill to eavesdrop on.

Now let’s be clear, I will cover any project featuring someone from Game of Thrones. That’s just policy. It’s in my blood. I still long for the days of late nights, group chats, and collective screams as the dragons soared and alliances crumbled. Sure, there’s House of the Dragon, and it’s fine, even good. But let’s not kid ourselves: nothing Game of Thrones like Game of Thrones.

So yeah. I’ll be keeping an eye on Trust. Might be messy. Might be brilliant. Might just be the kind of twisted, stylish noir we didn’t know we needed. At the very least, it’s a chance to see Sophie Turner sharpen her blade in a whole new battlefield.

Synopsis
