Miles Koules has been given a lot of trust in his new thriller, Trust, literally as the first film in the newly launched Koulest Productions.

The former pro-hockey athlete turned film producer is following the footsteps of his father, Oren Koules, the founder of Twisted Pictures, the studio behind the beloved horror franchise Saw.

If it’s any initial indicator, Miles Koules definitely set up a high bar for himself for his virgin project.

The film stars Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) with Rhys Coiro (24, Entourage), Billy Campbell (The Rocketeer, Cardinal), Peter Mensah (300, Spartacus), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant, The Miseducation of Cameron Post), Gianni Paolo (Power Book II: Ghost, Ma), Renata Vaca (Saw X, City of Dreams), and Katey Segal (Futurama, Married…with Children).

Carlson Young (Upgraded, The Blazing World) directed the film from the screenplay written by Gigi Levangie.

Trust follows a Hollywood actress (played by Sophie Turner) who, after a scandal, seeks refuge in a remote cabin, only to be betrayed by someone she once trusted and find herself fighting for survival. It’s a suspenseful, character-driven story that promises to captivate audiences.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with producer Miles Koules about the film’s fruition, Carlson Young in the director’s chair, actress Sophie Turner, the house, behind-the-scenes, and entering Hollywood as a producer.

Miles Koules is a former professional hockey player with a nine-year pro career playing for teams such as Ontario Reign, Cleveland Monsters, Bakersfield Condors, and Binghamton Devils. He even represented the United States at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. He formed Koulest Productions with his father, Oren Koules of Twisted Pictures.

Trust is released on Friday, August 22.
