The nation is divided with the past and few elections hanging in the balance with very thin margins. Both the Republicans and Democrats are maneuvering to gain certain advantages in the upcoming election and future elections. One of the tactics is to combat voter fraud of illegal votes from people not living in the district or identification. In Vigilantes Inc., the documentarians Greg Palast and David Ambrose discover a more sinister history of voter suppression that spanned over a century.

The timely film uses testimonies from both sides, from the vote fraud challengers to the accused victims. It mainly focuses on the recent movement in the state of Georgia, in which the voter fraud movement had spread into multiple states, particularly the battleground states.

Vigilantes Inc. hones on 8,500 self-proclaimed vigilante « vote-fraud hunters » who have already challenged the rights of 851,000 voters of color in the 2024 race. Investigative reporter Greg Palast (Guardian/Rolling Stone) hunts down the MAGA vigilantes including one dressed like Doc Holliday—with his loaded 6 gun shooter—who blocked the vote of 4,000 Black soldiers, including MAJ Gamaliel Turner. Palast and Turner confront the vote rustlers in scenes that are humorous, weird, and dangerous. The film is the powerful follow up to Palast’s 2021 documentary The Purged: The Vanished Voters of Trump’s America.

The film is also produced by Martin Sheen and narrated by Rosario Dawson.
