With the abundance of superhero movies these days, it’s always exciting to find out information about bad guys. After all, sometimes a superhero flick is only as strong as its villain. When it comes to Marvel’s Black Panther, directed by Ryan Coogler, information about the film’s antagonist has been somewhat scarce, but now we know that the role has finally been cast.
According to Variety, Coogler has tapped Person Of Interest actor Winston Duke to play M’Baku, aka Man-Ape, in Black Panther.
The Caribbean-born, Yale School of Drama graduate joins a stellar cast that includes Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira. His casting comes after an extensive search, with Coogler auditioning several actors lately.
M’Baku/Man-Apeis one of T’Challa’s, aka Black Panther’s, most powerful foes and a formidable Wakandan warrior.
It should be fun to watch Boseman and Duke tear up the screen in Black Panther since, based on their backgrounds, they’re definitely strong actors who bring serious chops with them.
