Voice acting is possibly one of the fun jobs in the entertainment industry. And now you can set yourself up to possibly be a voice actor with some lesson plans from two professional voice acting veterans of the industry, Tara Platt and Yuri Lowenthal, in Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Course.

With over 1,200 credits in over 25 years, the duo launched their first-ever online voice acting course on Kajabi on Tuesday, November 11.

Based on the books “Voice-Over Voice Actor: What’s It Like Behind the Mic and The Extended Edition, this online program is a self-paced course with 17 in-depth modules, over 9 hours of video instructions, guided exercises, and exclusive resources designed for aspiring voice actors.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with voice actors Tara Platt and Yuri Lowenthal prior to the launch of Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Course. We discussed the program, course materials, pricing, and industry trends.

Tara Platt has lent her voice in numerous English-language versions of Japanese anime films, television series, and video games. Her notable roles in the anime world included Temari in Naruto and Reina in Rave Master. On the video game side, she voiced characters in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Saints Row: The Third, League of Legends, Marvel’s Spider-Man series, Soulcalibur, and Byonetta 2.

Yuri Lowenthal is a voice actor known for his roles in cartoons, anime and video games. His most prominent voice acting gig included Peter Parker/Spider-Man in many incarnations, including Marvel’s Spider-Man series by Insomniac Games and Marvel Rivals by NetEase Games. In other video games, he voiced Lorath Nahr in Blizzard’s Diablo III, The Prince in Prince of Persia, Hayate/Ein in Dead or Alive, and Matt Miller in Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV. His animation credits included  Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto, Ben Tennyson in Ben 10, and Jinnosuke in Afro Samurai.
